Those Who Whistle After Dark
Melih Bey (64), newly retired from the Museum of Natural History, struggles to adapt to civilian life and hides his growing sense of emptiness from his family. One day, an unexpected supernatural encounter transforms his midlife crisis into a profound existential dilemma. Seeking support, he turns to his wife Suzan (59) and daughter Toprak (30), but they are consumed by their own problems. Suzan is caught in a web of financial fraud, while Toprak, overwhelmed by failure and an uncertain future, secretly plans to flee to the U.S. Whistlers in the Dark is a darkly humorous drama that explores the efforts of three lonely individuals to hold onto one another, told through an absurd and whimsical lens.
